Competition seeks entrepreneurs in the 50-plus market

Entrepreneurs from across the globe are invited to participate in a business plan competition aimed at developing products and services for the 50-plus market. The winner will be announced at the “What’s Next? Boomer Business Plan Competition,” in Philadelphia on March 10, 2005, part of the annual joint meeting of the American Society on Aging (ASA) and National Conference on the Aging (NCOA).

The contest is sponsored by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, Mary Furlong & Associates, American Society on Aging (ASA), and its Business Forum on Aging (BFA).

The competition is open to anyone with an idea for developing a product or service for the 50 –plus market. The deadline for intent to participate is Dec. 15, 2004. Business plan entries should target an early-stage venture focused on the 50-plus market in any field.
