Toledo tax incentives ruling may have local ramifications

The $280 million incentives package dangled by Toledo, Ohio, to keep DaimlerChrysler rooted when the automaker began courting neighboring Michigan, doesn’t differ much from incentives offered in Pennsylvania or 40-plus other states.
That’s why Pennsylvania officials are among those watching the outcome of a court decision, which ruled Toledo’s investment tax credit package was unconstitutional.
