Smuin Ballet effort generates $100,000 for the McLaughlin Research Institute in Great Falls.

Fine performances by the Bay Area’s Smuin Ballet this fall in Montana raised more than $100,000 for the McLaughlin Research Institute in Great Falls.

In a tour sponsored by Dr. Irving and Allie Weissman, audiences were treated to a new Frank Sinatra tribute, "Fly Me to the Moon," which had its world premiere in San Francisco just days earlier.

The new show, choreographed by Missoula-native Michael Smuin and members of the troupe, received standing ovations in the four cities on the tour — Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls and Missoula.
