Missoula Public Library offers free electronic databse of Information Technology Titles

Safari Tech Books Online is an electronic database of Information Technology
related titles that are available to Missoula Public Library card holders from their
homes or offices. The Missoula Public Library is able to offer 50 titles to its patrons
from this popular database. These titles, from such popular publishers as O’Reilly,
Que, SAMS, and more, cover the spectrum of IT topics.

Take a look at this database by pointing your browser at
http://www.missoula.lib.mt.us/safari.html. Click on the link there and you’ll be
prompted to type in your 14 digit library card number. Once you’re at the Safari site,
click on the Bookshelf to see a list of all the available titles.

The Missoula Public Library has access to this database on a trial basis. It is
available to us through January, so get in and have a look at it and see what you
think. I think you’ll be plesantly surprised. If you’re in the library, you need only find
the Safari link in the Favorites on any public PC.

Call Jim at the library (258 3849) if you have any questions or if you would like to
recommed a book title to be placed on the list. We have a list of 2000 titles to chose
from for the 50 selections we can provide to the public.
