New Papers Released that Focus on Education Finance

The National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) recently released, “Developments in School Finance: 2003.” The report is a compendium of papers presented at the 2003 NCES Summer Data Conference featuring noted education authors Eric Hanushek, Ross Rubenstein and many others.

The papers address various issues surrounding education finance including teacher turnover; financing urban schools; the costs of improving student performance; distinguishing good schools in principle and practice; an evaluation of the efficacy of state adequacy and equity indicators; and school accountability.
