IMPORTANT UPDATE: Boise Intermountain Venture Forum Extends Deadline

The Boise Metro Economic Development Council (BMEDC) has extended the deadline for entrepreneurs interested in submitting applications to present at the 6th annual Intermountain Venture Forum to be held in Boise, October 6-7. The mission of the forum is to initiate relationships with and to create opportunities for start-up companies in the Intermountain West and Pacific Northwest.

The deadline extension will allow early-stage companies who have expressed interest in the forum additional time to update their business plans for submission and consideration. Last year 15 companies from six states – Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah – presented business plans and participated in panel discussions during the forum.

Approximately 15 companies will be chosen from the applicants to make formal presentations to angel investors and venture capital firms. In addition to the company presentations, the two-day forum will feature guest speakers and three panel discussions led by experts. Joining the panels ‘Venture Capital Outside Silicon Valley’ and ‘ Bootstrapping – An Entrepreneur’s Guidebook’ is a unique new addition, ‘Startups and the Government Market.’

Anyone wishing to present business plans at the event is invited to submit an application to the BMEDC by September 15, 2004. For more information or to complete an online application, visit the website at http://www.ventureboise.org.
