Their project called the Oklahoma City Economic Development Information System http://www.okcedis.com assists in the site selection and business attraction process. In two years, the Web site has produced a 99 percent reduction in turnaround time, labor and overall costs associated with the site selection analysis process with $5.8 million in total savings. The Greater Oklahoma City Partnership receives six to 10 unsolicited leads each week from the Web site.

"This recognition validates our strategy of delivering the highest-quality client services," said Roy Williams, president of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. "The http://www.okcedis.com tool has created tremendous value for our organization and for our corporate real estate partners in the region. When you combine the ability to search for any available property in the region with sophisticated demographic and economic data … we provide a higher level of service than almost any other region."

According to the chamber press release, "As the Internet plays a greater role in gathering information about potential sites, the tool seemed obvious." Williams continued, saying, "We understand that in today’s environment, companies don’t have the time to put together data from a multitude of sources. If we can centralize data into these Web-based programs and provide greater access to information analysis, we can compress days of research into minutes."
