Qwest Communications International Inc. will add 275 new jobs for its sales center here.

The company is expanding its 5-year-old sales center, which now employs about 225 workers.

Qwest will begin hiring immediately.

When fully staffed, the Idaho Falls operation will be Qwest´s largest single consumer service center in its 14-state region.

“The creation of these jobs is a testament to Idaho´s ongoing efforts to attract quality jobs, along with valuable business investment,” Gov. Dirk Kempthorne said in a statement.

The center will continue to handle calls from Qwest customers throughout the company´s 14-state service region.
