New Report says school-based career development benefiting students

A new report by the Institute on Education and the Economy (IIE), described in the March 2004 issue of IIE Brief, reviews research on the outcomes of school-based career development.

While much more research is needed, the report finds that students do seem to benefit from career courses, and that the best mode is through individual counseling (not just computers) starting in the middle schools.
