Technology Grant Opportunities
There are several grant opportunities open right now for technology-related projects. Many of these are due within the next month or two, so any interested parties should get going on them right away. Here is a rundown on them with links to their respective web sites:
RUS Distance Learning & Telemedicine Grants – Fund telecommunications, computer networks and related advanced technologies to provide access to education, training and health care resources for people in rural America. Due April 30, 2004. Go to http://www.usda.gov/rus/telecom/dlt/dlt.htm for guidelines and application forms.
Technology Opportunities Program (TOP) – Awards matching grants to public and non-profit organizations to demonstrate practical applications of telecommunications and information technologies. Due April 27, 2004. Go to http://www.ntia.doc.gov/top/ for guidelines and application forms.
Public Telecommunications Facilities Program (PTFP) – Program to help public broadcasting stations, state and local governments, Indian Tribes and non-profit organizations construct facilities to bring educational and cultural programs to the American Public using broadcasting and non-broadcasting telecommunications technologies.
